Due to an update in the public encryption certificate authority, new encryption key certificates are required to maintain compliance and secure transactions.
Due to this update, all Gilbarco Passport sites must do one of the following before April 29, 2026 to ensure the new certificate is added to the EPOS system:
- UPDATE: There are 2 options available for Gilbarco Passport sites to complete this certificate update:
- Option 1: Upgrade to v24.04 MP14 (or greater)
- Option 2: Upgrade to v23.01 MP33 +QF31 (via I360, Gilbarco HD, or local tech)
- Phillips 66 can see when one of the above options are completed, but please note that Phillips 66 will not be able to track or have insight into which sites have installed any hot fix or quick fix that are not part of one of the above software and/or maintenance pack.
Gilbarco Passport Sites that do not complete one of the above steps will lose all transaction processing capability beginning on April 29, 2026. Additionally, some sites may also begin experiencing intermittent loss of transaction processing capability leading up to April 29. Therefore, sites are urged not to wait. Certificate updates should be completed as soon as possible ahead of the April 29 deadline.
Should you have any questions regarding this update, please reach out to Gilbarco.
