DonorsChoose makes it easy for anyone to help a teacher in need, moving us closer to a nation where students in every community have the tools and experiences necessary for an exceptional education and foundation that extends outside of school.
With our mission to inspire people to Live To The Full®, Phillips 66 has chosen a few teachers to highlight as our Live To The Full Heroes. These inspirational educators will be honored at the Big 12 Basketball Championship – sharing the stories of their school, journey and the students they impact every day. This year we are honoring three teachers: Mrs. Ybarra of Will Rogers Elementary, Ms. McCartney from Guadalupe Centers High and Mrs. Smetana of Fox Hill Elementary. Since 2000, DonorsChoose has raised $1.25 billion for teachers and students, funded 2.21 million projects and supported more than 700,000 teachers. In 2021, Phillips 66 accounted for $66,000 of the donations to DonorsChoose, funding 238 projects, serving 83 schools and supporting 141 teachers.
This year we are increasing our impact with a commitment to donate $100,000 funded through donations from our communities.
