Rod Palmer, Vice President, U.S. Marketing
Describe your new role:
I will be leading our U.S. Marketing organization through the energy transition by prioritizing work that will position us for continued long-term growth. We will focus on innovation and propelling your businesses into the future.
What are you most excited about in this new role?
Working with the incredible employees who make up U.S. Marketing as well as working shoulder to shoulder with you, our valuable customers. We never take the trust you have placed in us lightly, and I can’t wait to watch this team thrive as we transform into an even better business partner for you.
Tell us a little about yourself—outside of work:
Though I was born and raised in Wales, I have lived in the United States for over 20 years. I’m the proud owner of two passports. I also have three kids: My eldest is a teacher; one works at Phillips 66; and one is in college. In addition to golf, which I’m slowly getting better at, I love most sports, especially my beloved hometown rugby team, The Dragons.
Ryan Ebright, Manager, Branded Sales
Describe your new role:
Our Branded Sales Team remains focused on our customers, executing strategies aligned with our refinery placement plans and investing in our Phillips 66®, Conoco® and 76® brands. My new role will center around the sales teams, customers and initiatives aligned with our growth strategies.
What are you most excited about in this new role?
I am excited to continue the momentum with the brands and customers across our portfolio. Our brands are well positioned to drive both near- and long-term value across the portfolio. We will continue to focus on growth and innovation with our customers. In 2023, a new customer portal will be live, opening the door for enhanced digital capabilities as we strive to be easy to do business with and streamline our sales process.
Tell us a little about yourself—outside of work:
I have three girls (Jemma 5, London 7 and Maggie 9) and a supportive spouse (Lindsey) who keep my plate full when not at the office. We enjoy traveling as a family and connecting with our friends. “Full-time dance dad” is probably the best way to describe my weekends these last few years. I did sneak out to climb Mount Rainier this summer; however, I doubt that I will be able to climb any of the volcanos on my list this coming year, especially after moving to Texas. I will look for some form of a new challenge outdoors. That could likely be on my family’s farm in Kansas this harvest—At least my dad thinks he might get a couple weekends of work out of me now that I am closer.
Lindsey Grant, Manager, Contracts & Customer Service
Describe your new role:
I’ll be leading the back-office teams that are dedicated to making Phillips 66 easy to do business with. From new account setup to consumer services, our team of accounts specialists, contract analysts, Bizlink coordinators and help-desk professionals support all our U.S. marketing customers.
What are you most excited about in this new role?
We have so many new ideas for how we can improve our customer support, from implementing new technology to adopting different ways of working. I’m looking forward to seeing those improvements come to life, like our new customer portal, Gateway, which is launching in early 2023!
Tell us a little about yourself—outside of work:
Both of our sons recently left home to study at universities in the UK, so we’re empty nesters now. We’re looking forward to seeing a bit more of the USA, and any travel tips will be gratefully received!
Lou Burke, Manager, Retail Services
Describe your new role:
My new role involves leading my team as we grow our joint ventures, deliver last-mile Renewable Diesel placement, expand renewables, execute consignment pricing, ensure strategic alignment, and continue work on innovative solutions for our customers.
What are you most excited about in this new role?
The variety of challenging and high value activities that this role presents. I have developed meaningful relationships with our customers over the years, and now I am in a role to leverage that knowledge to deliver the innovation our customers are looking for and execute strategies that matter the most to them. I am excited to continue working with our customers in a different capacity.
Tell us a little about yourself—outside of work:
I have two college-aged children. Given the opportunity, I am outside whenever I can be. Also, having grown up in Wisconsin, I enjoy traveling to warm places.
Sunny Lopez, Manager, Aviation
Describe your new role:
In my new role, I will lead the Aviation sales team as we aim to increase our sales and further enhance customer relationships. Additionally, continued focus will be placed on building the future through new technology and innovation.
What are you most excited about in this new role?
So many have expressed to me how Aviation is such a wonderful division in which to work, and I’m excited to be a part of the group and experience the legacy for myself. My immediate focus is to get to know our customers and their needs, carrying on the industry’s legacy that was started 95 years ago.
Tell us a little about yourself—outside of work:
I’m originally from south Louisiana, and I graduated from Louisiana State University with a degree in industrial engineering. Speaking of college, I have two children in college and one in high school. Another fun fact: I lived in Panama for several years, and it was during this time that I learned to speak Spanish.
John Field, Manager, Brand
Describe your new role:
I’m leading our new Brand Marketing Center of Excellence that provides enterprise-wide brand marketing support to all brands within the Phillips 66 portfolio. From Fuels to Lubricants to Aviation and our Corporate Brand, this new team will focus on unifying how we tell our story and harnessing the collective power of our brands to deliver effective and impactful marketing.
What are you most excited about in this new role?
I’m excited about bringing our brand marketers together on one team where we can collaborate to create even better work. There’s so much opportunity in this space, and by integrating teams, channels and workstreams, we’ll be able to leverage our talents across the enterprise in a more consistent and results-focused approach.
Tell us a little about yourself—outside of work:
I’m a native Texan and grew up in Lubbock. I attended Southern Methodist University in Dallas where I earned an undergraduate degree in advertising as well as my MBA. On most weekends, you’ll find me in Round Top, Texas where we have a small place. If you need any antique show tips, I’m happy to share.
This evolution further poises us for continued success, and we’re excited to have you along for the journey.
