Before the Rams’ games this season, Conoco engaged with fans through tailgate activations at the Ram Walk, giving away branded prizes along with gas cards that could be won by engaging with our activations.
Consumers got the chance to win gas cards to use at your site(s) while indulging in some nostalgia with a homage to paper flick football, Kickin’ it with Conoco. Rams fans made their own miracle kick by attempting to flick the football through a field goal and into the back window of the branded Conoco truck, complete with its own mini football field built into the bed. The chance to play, and ultimately win, the grand prize of a $25 gas card was exchanged for their email address and a sign-up to receive Conoco emails, where they’ll receive exclusive access to promotions at your site(s) and other inspiration to Choose Go®.
In addition to Kickin’ it with Conoco, fans also got the chance to receive a 50cpg discount code for fill-ups at your station(s) and Conoco/Rams dual-branded t-shirts by being one of the first 500 fans to head to our booth at section 121 inside the stadium. Fans were called to our booth through a video reel on the jumbotron during the game, putting your brand on display to rally fans in the stadium. Through these giveaways before and during the games, Conoco gave away more than $1,700 in Conoco gas cards along with 1,000 branded items including blankets, hand warmers, t-shirts and three-way chargers. By leveraging these gas cards as prizes, consumers will be driven to your site(s) to redeem their discount, creating multiple opportunities to gain lifelong consumers.
