Conoco® is helping consumers Choose Go® through social media in Q3

The Conoco social platforms have been built to be a place for one-to-one conversations with consumers, where tactical messaging that drives volume to your site(s) becomes an art form creating space for emotional and entertaining engagement, leading to lasting brand loyalty for your business.

C.R.A.I.G.: Conoco has introduced their social audience to C.R.A.I.G., Conoco Research Artificial Intelligence for Going, a robot that helps consumers Choose Go by doing research on what Go means and how to achieve it. C.R.A.I.G. gave consumers a sort of AI influencer that “ran” the Conoco social media platforms for periods of time, creating a personality that intrigued consumers. This campaign kept consumers coming back to the Conoco page to see what C.R.A.I.G. was up to and engaged one-on-one with Conoco by answering some of the questions C.R.A.I.G posed to his followers through the comments section.

Denver Broncos Sponsorship: Conoco is excited about working with Brandon McManus for our second year of the “Moments with McManus” promotion, which features our free coffee promotion. In these clips, the beloved Broncos kicker is surrounded by Conoco branding and speaks directly to our consumers and Broncos fans about how they can score a free coffee at your site(s). With the Denver Broncos being one of the best teams in the NFL, and a national fan base, Conoco is getting recognition and encouragement from one of the biggest names in football, Brandon McManus, and how Conoco is a brand that fuels their favorite team and player.

University of Montana: The University Montana Griz will be running a social media promotion on our behalf from Oct. 11-18 with the chance to win a prize pack that includes sold-out tickets to the UM/Montana State football game. This sponsorship as a whole will build our presence in Montana, increasing our share of the market as fans begin associating you with their school loyalty, nurturing brand loyalty and driving long-term traffic. 

Colorado State University: To expand our reach in Colorado, Conoco has teamed up again with Colorado State University, for a social media promotion. Students will have the chance to win a Conoco Choose Go prize pack that includes branded Conoco items and tickets to an upcoming football game. There will be a My Conoco App promotion featured on the in-stadium video board giving the first 500 fans that visit our booth 50cpg off when they use the mobile pay app at your site(s). This exciting promotion will get the My Conoco App in our consumers’ phones and get them to your station to redeem this enticing offer. 

Coming up this fall: During October, Conoco will start a mini-series to engage the consumer using Rorschach tests (ink smudges) that we are calling “Go-rshach test” that have not-so-subtle nods to cars, places and traveling. This will create interactive content that will engage consumers and encourage them to engage with the brand in return, as they are encouraged to respond back with what they see in the smudges. Conoco will then present consumers with a driving-centric analysis based upon their reply, creating a direct, two-way communication channel with consumers. By speaking one-on-one with consumers through social media, this sets Conoco up as an attentive brand that takes the time to reply to individuals in unique and exciting ways.
