Effective Oct. 1, we began transitioning sites from affidavit volume to invoice volume for the Brand Incentive Program long-term rebate. The BIP is designed to help you build new or re-image outlets, as well as convert to a Phillips 66 brand, providing site(s) with an upfront incentive and/or a variable rebate payment based upon monthly sales. We are constantly evolving this program to ensure your needs are met with tailored and flexible customer support to excel in image standards and stay ahead of market trends.
One of the benefits promised during the transition from Various to Site-specific Ship Tos was the eventual elimination of sales volume affidavits. We’re pleased to share that the final step in this transition was completed at the end of Q3, 2021.
What does this mean for you?
No sales volume affidavits will be needed beginning with Q4 volume. BIP rebate payments will be based on the invoice date, not the lift date. For contracts prior to Oct. 1, 2021, affidavit volumes should continue to be submitted for the full BIP upfront true-up period according to the agreement. Affidavits must continue to be submitted in BizLink using the same submission process as previously until the true-up period is completed.
You are encouraged to routinely track your invoices on BizLink, by invoice date, to keep track of gallons invoiced. Contact your Account Specialist if you believe there is a discrepancy in the volume calculated for rebate payments and if you have any questions about the most recent BIP updates, refer here.
