The Phillips 66®, 76® and Conoco® mobile apps have surpassed 10 million transactions! Now more than ever, consumers are looking for ways to save anywhere they can, and the mobile pay discounts available in our apps are providing them with these highly sought-after savings.
In addition to our current mobile pay discounts, some sites are taking the opportunity to build additional goodwill in their communities by rolling back fuel prices even further. The Express Lane 76 in Forest, Virginia demonstrated one notable example. Last month, they held their second annual Customer Appreciation Celebration during which they offered fuel at $0.76 per gallon over a two-hour time period for any consumer who downloaded the My 76® App. The turnout was so large—drawing in hundreds of people—that station employees worked for hours pumping gas, passing out water and keeping spirits high for those patiently waiting in line.
To celebrate its grand opening, another 76 site in Middleburg, Florida lowered their price to $3.76—compared to Florida’s average of $4.72—saving consumers nearly one full dollar per gallon. In order to receive the discount, consumers also had to show they had downloaded the My 76® App. Not only did this grand opening promotion draw in many seeking relief from high prices at the pump, but it also helped generate loyalty for the newly opened 76 station.
In our latest addition of Mile Marker, we announced that our current mobile pay promotion of up to 25cpg will be extended through the end of the year. If you are interested in offering additional discounts at the pump, simply follow these instructions for Verifone or Gilbarco. Although you cannot offer additional discounts through the mobile app, encouraging your consumers to download your mobile app is a great way to ensure they keep coming back time and time again to take advantage of the already great discounts at the pump.
